“Keep the rhythm, change the world”

  • Coffee

Falling in love with café culture during my university years, I’ve made it my hobby to buy various beans and hand-drip them at home. Please look forward to the original blend I’ve crafted especially for our wedding favors!

  • Music

Starting with the choir club in junior high and moving on to bands and solo acoustic performances, music has become my life’s work. Going to festivals and live shows is an essential and beloved part of my life.

  • Soccer

Influenced by my father, I became so captivated by the sport that not becoming a pro is still a lingering regret. To me, it is the greatest and most inspiring sport in the world. I can’t wait for the World Cup!

Kurumi Mori | The Daydreaming Artist | 1996.08.21

“Stay gold and keep drawing”

  • Dogs

I’ve been a huge dog lover since I was little—even getting bitten didn’t discourage me! I collect photos of dogs I encounter while traveling, and I can’t help but want anything with a dog motif.

  • Journaling

A natural-born record-keeper since childhood, I’ve logged everything: outfits, movies, books, ideas, and To-Do lists. Having kept a diary every single day for over 10 years, I can revisit my memories whenever I like.

  • Travel

New landscapes, meeting people, and delicious food—every part of it is wonderful. We build our itineraries together, but once the trip starts, it’s always full of unexpected happenings, which is all part of the fun!

The Interview

What Connected Us

Kurumi: When we first started dating, I was in Osaka and Kazu was in Tokyo. Being long-distance, I was really comforted by your voice and your choice of words over the phone. I feel like both of those things truly reveal a person’s character. Your words were always so soft and kind, making me feel right at home. I also loved listening to your acoustic covers on Instagram.

Kazuoki: For me, it was our first date. I was struck by the perfect balance of Kurumi’s impeccable sense of style and your humorous, down-to-earth personality. While we’re similar in some ways, I’m often surprised by her rich sensitivity and the way you expresses things. I knew then that we’d be great partners in life.

Kr: Kazu has very high standards for "sense" (lol), so I’m glad I passed! Whenever I’m torn between outfits, you’ll pick one and give me a clear, logical reason why. You could honestly be a professional stylist or consultant.

Kz: It’s been seven and a half years since we met. We’ve been through a lot, but the real catalyst for our marriage was a Spitz concert. We’ve gone to so many festivals, shows, and movies together, but being able to truly discuss our thoughts afterward is what makes our bond special.

Kr: We can talk for hours with a cup of coffee in hand. Having shared hobbies is the best!

Our Treasure

Kz: We make sure to stay on the same page. Rather than just moving forward blindly, I want us to always put our feelings into words and check in with each other.

Kr: You’re so good at articulating my feelings when I can’t find the words myself. Thanks to that, I’ve stopped shutting down as much as I used to.

Kz: Also, good conversation always flows naturally over a great meal. Let's keep going out for delicious food together!

Next Chapter

Kr: I’ve been looking forward to this wedding so much—having all our favorite people in one place. I’m afraid I’ll be completely burnt out once it’s over...

Kz: We really poured our hearts into every detail. I hope everyone feels as relaxed as they would at a house party and enjoys themselves to the fullest!

Kr: I’m so excited for the future! First up is Fuji Rock in July. Oh, and by the way, we received some questions about World Cup winner predictions and tips for Catan. What do you think, Kazuoki?

Kz: That must be from my childhood friend Uga-chan and the lovely Mr. Nagai (lol). We also got a question about a project we want to accomplish together in the future!

Kr: I want to cherish and maintain the bonds we have with our favorite people for the rest of our lives. I’d also love to take a trip somewhere with our parents and Rooney!

Kz: We’ll both need to get better at driving then (lol). Let's work together to give back to everyone who has supported us!
